Barney Munro, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
As a Des Moines native, Dr. Barney Munro has been practicing obstetrics/gynecology in Des Moines since 1992. After attending Creighton University for his undergraduate degree, Dr. Munro graduated from Creighton Medical School. He later did his general surgery residency at the VA Hospital in Des Moines, and his Obstetrical/Gynecological residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago. He is currently an associate professor for the DMU Osteopathic School in Des Moines. He has privileges at Mercy Hospital and Methodist Hospital. Dr. Munro enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, coaching, and raising grapes. He lives in West Des Moines with his wife, Peggy. They have four grown children and a grand daughter.
Justine R Schleicher, ARNP, CNM
Justine is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and CNM. She has been in practice in the Des Moines area for the past 12 years. Prior to becoming a ARNP she worked as a labor and delivery nurse for 10 years. Justine is passionate about women's health and pregnancy. She cares for women from their teenage years to the post menopausal years. Justine feels that patient education and patient involvement in their own care is very important. Justine resides in Waukee with her two children and their dog Rocky and a new puppy. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Christine
Christine is the office manager and has worked for Central Iowa OB/GYN since 1997. She has also worked in the medical field for over 36 years. Christine received her Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Kansas. As expected, she is a huge Jayhawks fan! Christine has lived in Des Moines for the past 31 years with her husband Mark. They have three grown children. Dr. Munro delivered her youngest child in 1997. She enjoys being a Mimi to her three grandchildren. She also has a variety of spoiled pets and grandpets! Christine loves to volunteer, read, bike, bake, and watch soccer. She loves being part of the team at Central Iowa OB/GYN Specialists.
Lacinda
Lacinda obtained her diploma from the Mercy School of Nursing in 1992. She worked several years on the medical/surgical floor at Mercy Hospital. She began work in the operating room in 1995. Lacinda joined Central Iowa OB/GYN Specialists in January 2003. She obtained her RN First Assistant certificate from Perioperative Associates in Phoenix, AZ in 2003. In 2010, Lacinda obtained her bachelor degree from Upper Iowa University. She currently assists with office nursing as well as surgical procedures and C-sections. Lacinda currently lives in Beaverdale with her family.
Ashleigh
Originally from West Des Moines, Ashleigh works as a billing and claims specialist. She also helps cover the front desk and enjoys working with patients and helping them with their billing and insurance issues. She joined the staff in 2013 shortly after Dr. Munro delivered her son. Ashleigh is currently working on renovating her home in Des Moines with her husband and son, Oaklee.
Roselie
Roselie joined the staff in November 2022. Roselie is a CMA AAMA who graduated from the Medical Assistant program at Kaplin. Roselie has a background in family medicine and urgent care. Roselie lives in West Des Moines with her husband and four children. Roselie enjoys time with her family and reading.
Alicia
Our sonographer Alicia is registered through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography and The Fetal Medicine Foundation. She is from Cambridge, Iowa. Alicia received her training at Mercy College of Health Science and also a BS from Iowa State University. She joined the team at Central Iowa OB/GYN Specialists in 2014. Alicia and her husband, Tony, live in Grimes where they are actively raising four children and two dogs and a cat.
Laura
Laura joined the staff in May of 2022 as our front desk coordinator. Laura enjoys the one-on-one contact with our patients. Laura enjoys time with family, traveling and time spent outdoors. Laura is a native of Iowa and has one grown son who is married and would love to have a grandchild.
